The thickness measuring instrument adopts the pulse reflection ultrasonic measurement principle, which is suitable for measuring the thickness of various materials reflected from the back of the ultrasonic wave which can be propagated at a constant speed. This instrument can be used for accurate measurement of all kinds of plates and all kinds of machining parts. Can be widely used in petroleum, chemical industry, metallurgy, shipbuilding, aviation, aerospace and other fields. For different applications, the instrument is divided into basic type, high temperature type, cast iron type and precision type.

The principle of ultrasonic thickness measurement is similar to that of light wave measurement. The ultrasonic pulse emitted by the probe reaches the object to be measured and propagates in the object. When it reaches the interface of the material, it is reflected back to the probe. The thickness of the material to be measured can be determined by accurately measuring the propagation time of the ultrasonic wave in the material.
